Ectane represents advanced electromagnetic tubing and surface inspection. The instrument features a frequency range of 5 Hz to 10 MHz, 8-channel input, and up to 32 time slots, enabling a wide range of applications. With a modular design, the 11-model Ectane 3 is upgradeable and can be retrofitted to meet your inspection needs. The unit is available in three different array configurations: 64, 128, or 256 elements, and supports 10 techniques.

Magnifi is cutting-edge electromagnetic acquisition, analysis, and reporting software that fully leverages the capabilities of the Ectane 3. It is an evolving platform with powerful data processing tools, multi-technique support, effortless report generation, and an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI). The Ectane 3 can be operated using Magnifi 4.8 or any later version of the software.

SmartMUX is an integrated and programmable ECA multiplexer for Ectane. It offers the freedom to use absolute, differential, or transmit-receive eddy current coil topologies. More elements mean better coverage, higher resolution, uniform sensitivity, and faster inspections. Ectane 3 can support probe designs with up to 256 channels.

Compared with conventional eddy current testing, the main difference of Eddy Current Array (ECA) non-destructive testing is that the ECA probe consists of multiple independently operating coil elements arranged in a specific pattern, with two mutually perpendicular electromagnetic field transmission modes formed between the excitation (transmitter) and detection (receiver) coils, as shown in Figure 1.This arrangement of coils facilitates the detection of linear defects with different orientations.
