The national standard GB/T 34886 "Non-destructive testing—Test method for laser shearography of composite materials", co-authored by Beijing HuaTai KERN Science & Technology Co., Ltd., has been officially released and implemented.

This standard, under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Non-destructive Testing Standardization, establishes the technical specifications for laser shearography testing of composite materials, providing an important basis for the promotion and application of this advanced non-contact NDT technology.

As a participating unit in the standard development, Beijing HuaTai KERN Science & Technology Co., Ltd. took part in the drafting, verification, and revision of the standard throughout the process, incorporating its technical expertise and engineering experience in laser shearography into the standard clauses, helping to make the standard both scientific and practical.

From December 12 to 14, 2025, the first meeting of the 9th Session of the National Technical Committee on Non-destructive Testing Standardization was held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province.

A representative of Beijing HuaTai KERN Science & Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend, gathering with expert committee members from various regions to conduct in-depth discussions on the work direction of the new session of the technical committee, the construction of the NDT standard system, and the key plans for standard development and revision.

At the meeting, the company representative delivered an exchange speech on the standardization promotion and industrial application of laser shearography technology based on the compilation practice of GB/T 34886, receiving positive feedback from the attending experts.

Co-authoring a national standard and participating in an important meeting of the technical committee is a full affirmation of the technical strength and industry influence of Beijing HuaTai KERN Science & Technology Co., Ltd.
